Acne Treatments For Oily Skin

Charles asks…

What is a good drugstore acne spot treatment?

I have combination/oily skin.

I have been looking into the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Spot Gel & Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment. If you guys have tried these please let me know and give me a little review on them!

Thanks :)

Clean and Clear Advantage spot treatment. It’s probably the first product i bought for mild zits when i was 12 going in the 7th grade and i’m 16 and still using it. The Rapid Clear is supposed to have a cooling sensation, and is supposed to be more “rapid” of course than most, but it’s gimmicky really. The Clean & Clear is my favorite. Simple, and does what it says, plus helps take the pain away from those sensitive bumps. Also the rapid clear tends to kind of peel away and can get gloppy, and the cooling sensation is veeeery intense.

John asks…

What can I do to help my acne?

I’m almost 17 and have never had bad acne before. I’ve had the occasional pimple but never really any huge breakouts. The past few months my face has been awful. I wash it 2-3 times daily like I always have and I use acne treatment gel and salicylic acid. I’ve changed nothing in my diet, activities, or hygiene, but my whole face is covered in acne! I have oily skin and always have, but never really caused acne. Any suggestions on causes and treatments?

Here some great info that I thought might help:

Also, try drinking lots of water. Change your pillow cases frequently. Wash your hands before touching your face. If you hair is dirty, keep it away from your face. Stay away from greasy foods and sugary stuff.

Hope this helps and hang in there. Everyone gets acne. It will eventually go away. Good luck. =)
