Acne Treatments For Sensitive Skin

Mark asks…

~~~Has anyone used these Neutrogena products and do they work?~~~?
*Acne Stress Control Power Foam Wash
*Acne Stress Control Power Clear Scrub
*Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment
I was going to buy these, but can they be used every day? I’m confused about how to make my skincare routine…If you have any other better skincare solutions, please let me know. I get acne constantly and I’m oily all over with sensitive skin. Please don’t recommend Proactiv though, because it stopped working.
Neutreogena face wash products work amazing. I’ve tried most of them, and I got great results. I have super oily skin too, and acne in my T-zone area, well, at least I did, before I started using Neutrogena’s Acne Free Face Wash. It’s the one in the orange bottle. It’s only $4 and it works really well.
I have used the Power Foam Wash. It does work well. It’s actually really fun washing your face with it cuz it foams so much!
I didn’t really like the clear scrub only because the tiny exfoliating beads irritated my acne. It made the rest of my face really clean and soft, just the acne turned red and angry, so I stopped using it.
The 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment does work very well. But it’s slightly more expensive than the rest. I love it better that Proactive, cuz it’s a lot more gentle on the skin.
You can’t use all of these every day. Alternate every day. One day use the Foam Wash, then the next day use the Clear Scrub, etc.
John asks…
An acne reducer product for sensitive skin?
What’s a procuct that is made to reduce acne for people with sensitive skin? One that won’t dry my face out and get rid of black heads?
I can’t touch my skin without getting more acne. It is extremely frustrating as you may know. Help please. I’ve tried Proactive, and it made my skin dry and i didn’t like the fact of where i missed a day of the routine then i would get more acne, sometimes more than before.
My skin is really sensitive too, that’s why I used only vitamins and light acne removal cream. There is lot of massive treatments with will damage your skin and leave ugly scars, so I suggest to stick with my practice. It wasn’t method with helped me overnight but after few weeks my skin was clean and smooth and not even too dry or too oily.
I used Zenmed vitamins and cream to remove my acne. You can check for more information here: http://zenmed-acne-scar-treatment.com/recomendations/treatacne.php
Hi Donna
The first thing to do when treating acne is to have a plan, the one I would suggest is a 5 point plan as follows:
1. Cleanse your skin at least 3 times a day as follows: use soap and water but make sure the soap is very gentle and does not contain detergents or mineral oil. You can find one at various Natural or Organic skin stores. Blot your face dry with a towel don’t rub it.
2.Exfoliate your skin using a facial polish – this helps to normalize oil production and improves the skin surface. Do this twice a week
3. Use a skin toner – this helps to remove and prevent blackheads by removing soap residues, impurities and make up residues, it also helps to restore the correct Ph value. You can use a spritzer or cotton wool buds to apply it.
4. Use a day and night acne cream which kills and prevents bacteria and at the same time moisturizes your skin.
5. Finally – Make-Up – try not to use make-up in the period when you are treating your skin. I know this will be difficult but it will pay off. If you must use make-up – use a make-up without mineral oil – use instead a dry mineral, natural ingredient based make-up.
All the above products can be found on the internet by searching for Natural or Organic Acne Treatment Products – but don’t just go for the first ones you find, really search for products which comply with the steps I’ve shown above.
