Acne Treatments For Sensitive Skin

Lisa asks…

What is the best acne treatment for sensitive skin?

I have sensitive skin. Proactiv did clear my skin most of the way but it dried my skin out a lot and i still break out a lot around my period. Any suggestions?

It is a hormone imbalance that occurs around your period..I don’t know your age or if this is appropriate for you..but..birth control pills can be a real help with your problem..Talk to your parents and your doctor..;}

What is the best acne treatment for sensitive skin? (not proactiv, im using it & it sucks)?

Help! I have really sensitive skin, and when i use a product, it tends to make my skin red!

If you have only been using the product for a week, then keep using it. Your skin needs to get used to the product. It might wor after awhile. But it will only work if you are using it correctly and continuously.

If it still doesn’t work or is past this stage: go to the store. Look at the acne treatments. Buy a scrub or cleanser with 0.5%salicylic acid. Balance it with an acne cream of 5-10% benzoyl peroxide. 10% is the highest if your acne is bad. I recommend you get a product with sulfur, though, because it won’t irritate your skin as much. Test the products for a week. It is natural for your face to become red and irritated at first so make sure to start using them at times when you won’t see anyone. If your face is still irritated after a week see a dermotoligist. You might have an allergy to something in most acne medications.

Proactiv really doesn’t work btw. They’re just good at selling it. The best stuff comes from dermotoligists.

what is the best acne spot treatment for sensitive skin?

i’m getting a tattoo in 12 days and theres a few pimples right where i want it done. so just wanted to know what acne spot treatments worked for people with sensitive skin . thanks for your answers :)

You should switch skin care routines – Arbonne will work wonders! I have used it and sold it for 2 years and have flawless skin! In a pinch like you are, I would use that Clearasil overnight stuff – the patches if they still sell them. You stick it on and it zaps overnight!!

Good luck… I have to ask.. Is this tattoo going on the face?? LOL!
