Acne Treatments For Sensitive Skin

David asks…

What is the best acne treatment for people with sensitive skin?

I just have some acne on my forehead and I just want to get rid of it, or at least reduce it and prevent new ones from forming because I’m starting high school in late August. I can’t use anything with benzoyl peroxide because even if I just use a little bit, my skin gets red and irritated. What is the best acne treatment for people like me?

admin answers:

1) Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes and wash.
2) Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary.
3) Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball and wash it after haif an hour for 15 to 20 days.

for a month… i still get breakouts…. and it says it prevents… bull shit it doesnt

i was thinking of using oxy sensitive skin 2.5 benzoyl peroxide would that work?

admin answers:

Is that acne product prescribed by your doctor? If not, then see your doctor and listen to what he/she says. I recommend drinking loads of water, and keep your area with acne soaked with creme or something. Hope I helped!

Hey i had a very similar problem a you. I also have dry sensitive acne prone skin but i found an awesome book calle “Dont go to the cosmetics counter without me” This book is amazing and without it i would not have cleared up my skin.
Tips: Change your pillow case at least once a week
change your wash cloth at least twice a week
wash or sanatize your hands before washing
be consistant!! You have to wash and what not twice a day

CLEANSER: Dont waste your time on cleansers that have sayclic acid and what not in them because they will go down the drain before they even have time to work, plus the Ph levels can be off which can be potentially irratating towards skin. So…. Use a goo water soluble cleanser like this one: CLEAN AND CLEAR FOAMING FACIAL CLEANSER SENSITIVE SKIN
I love this cleanser and it is suitable for any skin type. It is rated as one of the best cleansers you can get at the drugstore

TONER: Dont use any toner w/ alchol in it. It will irrate your pore lining which could make new acne or make the current acne red and inflamed. At the drug stor you can by the NEUTROGENA alchol free toner or the BOOTS expert sensitve refreshing toner. Those are both ok toners that ar very basic (I use those).

LOTION: This lotion you are only going to use in the morning and not at night, you can use BOOTS expert sensitive light moisturizing lotion, which is a very good lotion

TREATMENT: This treatment you are only going to use 1 a day at night, ((more times is optional) I use NEUTROGENA oil-free acne stress control 3-1 hydrating acne treatment (Good for all skin Types) . This is a miracle worker, i cant even begin to tell you how awesome this product is. For this u just put it all over your face or the effected areas

SCRUB: This scrub is great for dry or sensitive skin, you are going to use it twice a week, though it is not named a scrub it is. ITs the NEUTROGENA pore refining cleanser, and i love it!

I hope this helps because it because it has helped my skin so so so much. So stay consistant:)
