Acne Treatments That Work Fast

Sandy asks…

What is the best way to treat pimples and skin colored bumps on my forehead?

I don’t have bad acne, but i get ugly pimples every now and then. I also have skin colored bumps on my forehead. What kind of acne treatment is best for this? I have tried Proactive and it didn’t do much at all. What other brands or techniques work? PLEASE HELP! (fast treatments would be best)

A homeopatheic treatment as strange as it may sound is white toothpaste,i know it sounds gross but apply it before bed and allow it to dry over night and it absorbs the oils that have built up causing the skin eruptions, and it is cheap.good luck hope this helps

HI James

Here are a few testimonials on how to heal the issue.

11/24/2007: Vinny ( from Atlanta, GA writes: “A quick, cheap, & healthy way to prevent and heal acne (even blackheads) is to use Eucalyptus Aromatherapy Oil. A big bottle is about $8-9 and can be found at GNC. Make sure you dilute it with water as it is very potent like other oils. You should have very good success with this and should notice HUGE differences within a day.”

10/04/2007: Martha from Lawrenceville, GA writes: “I’ve always had trouble with acne — I could never get my skin completely under control. ACV helped — taking it internally — but I still broke out in a monthly cycle. I started using aloe vera gel on my face a few weeks ago, and my skin has cleared up dramatically. I’ve not had one breakout, and my skin is getting to be so pretty! I just use a generic aloe vera gel that I picked up in WalMart.”

10/03/2007: Jennifer from Kirkland, Washington writes: “I have been using a mixture of coconut oil and aloe vera gel (4:1 ratio) on my face for my acne for only 2 weeks and it has almost completely cleared it up. I have had moderate to severe acne since I was 13 (I am now 37), and have tried everything under the sun to diminish it. Some things have helped more than others, but this is the first time my skin has felt so good and looked so good in almost 25 years

Best of health to you

The products you are using, are they salycic acid or benzolyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Almost all washes have it. They try finding a face lotion with it in it. Clean and clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face. I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working!
Personally, Proactive didn’t work for me. I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! Salysic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying fo rme! Good luck
