What is the best face wash to use to get rid of acne and acne marks ?!?

I have acne and acne marks on my face so what facewash do people use to get rid of them x?

Look for face washes which contain the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. This is the key ingredient in some of the best face washes. Use a 5-10% benzoyl peroxide of mild to moderate acne and 10% for severe.

Try smashing one tablet of aspirin in a small bowl, then adding lemon juice to the mixture. Aspirin is acetesalicylic acid, chemically related to salicylic acid. Apply to the affected areas overnight. It boosts the healing process while reducing redness.

Try putting toothpaste (paste, NOT gel) on your face, cover it with a bandage, and keep it on all night. When you wash it off in the morning your acne will look better. The astringent and surfactant nature of the toothpaste will help diminish the appearance of pimples. But the toothpaste has been known to burn sensitive skin of the face, so be careful. If your face does burn, stop acne treatments and work on healing your burn.

Try using Bentonite Clay, a natural mineral powder which has been known to absorb impurities and help neutralise the skin’s oiliness, and can be found online. Mix 2 tablespoons with a dash of cold water and smooth over the face as a thick paste. Once dried gently wipe off with a flannel or sponge.

Does anyone have good advice to get rid of acne?

I’m eighteen and I’ve had acne for 2 years. Nothing has worked. I tried Proactiv, AcneFree, Clearskin and a couple others. It’s not really bad but I want to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

Acne is a common skin disorder which results from the action of hormones on the skins sebaceous glands that leads to plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), and outbreaks of cysts or nodules commonly known as pimples. They may occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even on the upper arms. The acne affects mostly the teenagers.

Causes of Acne

* All forms of acne have their origin in wrong feeding habits, such as irregular hours of eating, improper food, excess of starches and fatty foods.
* Chronic constipation is major cause of acne.

Home Remedies for Acne

* Application of a pack made by boiling 50 gm of raspberry, strawberry or blackberry leaves with 1.5 litres of water for 3-5 minutes will give itching free and soothing skin.
* For acne treatment mix natural yogurt and fine oatmeal to a thick paste, apply it and leave to dry. Wash the face with lukewarm water and then pat dry.
* The orange peel is valuable in the acne treatment.
* For acne treatment make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste while sleeping and wash the face next morning.
* Unboiled milk mixed with gram flour has been proved effective for the daily wash of acne skin.
* For acne treatment mix one tablespoon of groundnut oil with one tablespoon of lime juice for treating pimples.
* Apply fresh lime juice mixed with a half glass of boiled milk for acne treatment, treating pimples, blackheads and cracked skin.
* Apply ripe tomatoes paste on pimples and wash with it after keeping for an hour.
* Apply fresh mint juice every night for acne treatment.
* Drink a glass of wheat grass juice daily to remove acne and for acne cure.
* Make a paste of turmeric powder in mint juice, keep it for 30 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water as it helps in acne cure.
* Apply a paste of fresh fenugreek leaves in water, keep it overnight and wash the face with warm water in next morning.
* Mix lime juice and rose water in equal portions and apply at every night after thoroughly washing the face. Keep it for 30-35 minutes and then again wash the face and pat dry.

Prevention for Acne

Acne is common in teens and twenties, and a serious disorder of the sebaceous glands, requires proper care and medication. To keep skin conditions under control, follow the following suggestions:

* Reduce the oiliness of the skin to prevent acne.
* Remove the blackheads regularly to prevent acne.
* Have a well-balanced, regular diet with lots of fresh fruit juices.
* Try to avoid chocolates, nuts, fried and fatty foods as this make the chances of acne infection more.
* Vitamin C and vitamin E are antioxidants that rejuvenate the skin, so the diet rich in these vitamins should be included in daily diet.
* Vitamin E is important to prevent scarring from acne and removing old scars.

what are some topical medicines that work well for acne that arent expensive?

I have really sensitive skin, like if I wash my face more that once a day, I wil get even more acne and a really red face.. Idk what to do.. I dont think the clindamycin gel is working.. and I have no health insurance so retin A is too expensive.. and I cant take any oral meds because Im on too much other medication.. any suggestions?

Hey Jen thanks for your question. I can help you out with that. If you have really sensitive skin you definitely want to avoid benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid acne face washes. These two ingredients are the active ingredients in almost every major three step acne treatment system or face wash like say Pro-Activ, Clean and Clear, etc. They are the WORST aggravators of sensitive skin.

You want to use a very gentle face wash like those made by Cetaphil. Cetaphil products are inexpensive and you can find them at most Walgreens, CVS and the likes.

You want to wash your face with the Cetaphil or whatever gentle cleanser you’re using only at night. In the morning you want to just wash your face with warm water and remember to lotion! Lotions with aloe vera in it should reduce redness and cool your skin.

Finally as for you acne, I’ll offer you two solutions, one quick fix and one long term.

Quick Fix:
Go to your dermatologist or doctor and ask for a prescription for ZIANA (clindamycin phosphate 1.2% and tretinoin 0.025%) Gel. This is basically an antibiotic and treats pimples virtually overnight. Very effective.

Long Term:
Start strengthening, detoxing, and cleansing your internal system. This is where acne stems from; how severe your acne is simply reflects how unhealthy your internal system is.

Start taking pro-biotics daily, drinking plenty of detox tea, and lemon water.
