Clear Acne In 4 Weeks

Ken asks…

Why does your acne get worse at first when using prescription creams?

Okay so dermatologist prescribed me Tazorac Cream 0.1% for my acne and he says that my acne will get worse within the first 4 weeks of use but that after that it should start clearing up. Why does it get worse at first? Plus, I am currently on birth control (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo). Will that stop the acne from getting worse?

Taking care of your skin is the best way to reduce pimples. Choose cleansing products that are not overly harsh and are oil-free. Wash your face after sweating heavily. For young women, the use of makeup can exacerbate acne problems, so it is a good idea to pick cosmetics that are non-comedogenic, because they do not clog pores. Never go to sleep at night without washing your face. It is also imperative that you do not squeeze or pinch zits. You may be tempted to do it, but it can lead to scarring. Don’t spend a lot of time scrubbing your face, because it can make acne worse. It is also smart to avoid putting your hands on your face a lot, because the oil on your hands gets transferred to your face and can cause further outbreaks.

Mark asks…

Can I take antibiotics for a little longer?

I’ve been taking antibiotics for fairly severe acne. I’ve finished my course and it has worked really well but my skin isn’t completely clear yet. Would it be okay to take antibiotics for 2-4 weeks more? My course was 3 months long so am not really sure if it would be that bad to extend it a little. Or should I just try some ordinary creams from now on?

TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR!!

NEVER start or stop antibiotics without FIRST talking to your doctor.

Antibiotics can be almost useless if not taken for the full term, and can be dangerous if taken for too long a time.

This is for clearasil users with oily skin?

I just bought clearasil daily face wash oil free, for my face. I have oily skin and small acne bumps all over my forehead and small sections on both sidea of my cheeks. I am also a teen; 13. I mentioned that because I know a lot of it has to do with hormones and all that, but does it help at all!?!?!?!?! It said on the bottle ot will help clear it a little in 4 weeks so imma try it for about 5 or 6. If you have ever used it and had good or bad results please share and state why it did or didn’t help. Also will it help with acne scars bevause I do have a lot of them everywhere my acne is.

I’m also 13 and it work very well but make sure to put a moisturizer on right after! Cause whenever I used it it dried my skin out. Hope this helped! :)
