I know how you feel – I also struggled with back acne. Everyone’s skin responds differently to treatments so listen to your skin but here’s what has helped me…I hope it helps you.

First, make sure you cleanse your body at least once a day with water that isn’t too hot. Don’t overdo it here (sometimes people shower more often thinking they’ll get rid of the acne by washing it away – you can actually make things worse if you strip away too much of your natural oils because your skin will respond with making more oil – causing more acne.) If, however, you sweat a lot, you may want to wash your skin again (even it it’s just with a wet wash cloth). Wash with a cleanser that YOUR skin responds to. But, do not choose a cleanser that has alcohol in it (as this also causes your skin to dry out and cause more acne). I use a glycerin based cleanser with no fragrance but I sometimes also just use plain ole’ Ivory soap. It’s important that whatever you choose doesn’t include alcohol or fragrance or oil.

Second, try this once or twice a week, more if your skin responds well:
Mix a water / vinegar solution 1:1 ratio (or if worried about the smell, use 3/4 water, 1/4 vinegar). Put it in a spray bottle and spray the problem areas at night before you go to bed then shower in the morning. If you normally shower at night, go ahead and still spray it. The “vinegary” smell should dissipate but you would still want to wash off with a wash cloth in the morning. This can be very helpful for your back.

Lastly, I would also exfoliate on a regular basis. Exfoliating your skin will help remove dead skin cells that get trapped because of too much sebum (oil) on your skin – causing pores to get clogged…thus forming acne. If you have oily skin, you should exfoliate 3-5 per week. (If you have dry or sensitive skin, only once per week; Normal skin would be everyday.) Again, don’t overdo it.

One other thing…be careful with the sun for obvious reasons but also, if you have problems with back acne, tanning actually thickens your skin which can make acne worse. A little sun is OK during non peak hours – just don’t overdo it by thinking you will clear up your skin.

Good luck!

What more can I do to get rid of my acne?

I had horrbile acne, all over my face. Then I went to the dermatologists, and now I’m taking prescription pills and using a prescription cream and have less acne. It is mostly all on my cheeks and chin. My forehead and nose are the only places that the prescriptions have helped. I wash my face twice a day and use lotion. I am so sick my gross, red, pimply skin… What can I do?

For another simple pimple remedy, recommends soaking a chamomile teabag in warm water, then applying the teabag to the affected area for 15 minutes. The teabag works as a warm compress and contains flavonoids and bisabolol, which have anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe the pimple and reduce redness.

Beyaz in regards to acne and when to take it?

I just started taking Beyaz today and have 2 questions.
First, how long does it generally take to start clearing up acne?
Also, there are 28 pills, and it says to start on the first day of your period. So if your next period comes early, do you still finish up the pack your on, or do you throw those away and start the next pack on the first day of your period again?

admin answers:

I take Yasmin, and it took about 4 months for my acne to clear up completely. However, if you wash your face every day it could speed the process.

Your period will not come while you are still taking the pills, simple as that. The sugar pill week is only there to allow your period to happen. You should always finish the pack you’re on before you start a new one, regardless of how long your period lasts, etc.
You only start taking the pill on the day of your period the first time you are taking the pill, after that you just finish the packs and start the next ones as soon as you are finished with the current one. You should really read the booklet that came with your pills, all of this is clearly stated inside.
