i have severe acne on my back ,shoulders,neck , and face. without going to the dermatologist what stuff can i get that seriously gets rid of acne?

6 things must be done EVERYDAY to reduce/prevent acne: 1)Wash, Tone, Moisturize Face 2 or 3 Times 2)Don’t Let Dirty Things Touch Face 3)Eat Healthy Food, Limit Junk Food 4)Take Multi Vitamin Mineral 5)Drink About 64 oz Pure Water 6)Do 20 to 30 Min Aerobic Exercise. Doing 1 or a few of these will NOT keep skin clear as possible!

Use 3 things on face: Wash, Toner, Moisturizer. Do this at least 2x a day, morning & night (possibly 3rd time, midday, if super oily/sweating). Products that work for one person may not work for another person, so always do small patch test on face for a couple of days to see how skin will react to product! Don’t quickly jump from product to product! Give skin a break before trying new product to prevent irritation! Natural & gentle products are sometimes more effective than acne medicine!

NATURAL & GENTLE: Wash face with warm water & Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar by Johnson & Johnson. Tone face with Witch Hazel (Thayers or Dickinson’s), its non-drying, reduces bacteria/swelling, minimizes pores, helps acne inflammation. Moisturize face with Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Gelly, its 99% organic, contains vitamin A, C, E! Aloe vera helps renew skin cells, heals blemishes/scars. How can I cure acne? Which is the best cleanser out there?

I am a 13 year old that suffers from acne. Does anyone know how to prevent it? Cure it? Which is the best facial cleanser out there?

He products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.
Personally, Proactive didn’t work for me. I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. I use Biore Ice Cleanser and warming facial scrub every morning. And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working! Good Luck!

This is what I do.

Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil works really well and has been shown in studies to improve acne. Doing scrubs is not good for acne at all because it irritates acne so I use warm oatmeal with a little bit of honey to exfoliate which is more gently. A french “green” clay mask works very well also. I started using a papaya mask a few weeks ago and I now have a great glow and less acne!! It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better using the french clay.

Papaya mask/exfoliant

Cut the papaya in 1 inch chunks. Blend/mash 2 or 3 chunks and store the wrest in the freezer. Apply the blended/mashed papaya and leave on face for 10-20 min. Use 2 or 3x a week.
The papaya may tingle but that just means that the papaya is working and it is breaking down dead skin cells to give that lovely glow and since it breaks down the dead skin it clears out the pores and in turn they shrink!!! (You may not see the results you want until you use it for a while.)

You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use a herbal astringent recipe from “The herbal body book” by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on Works really good and is so soothing. Use a oil free moisturizer or emu oil (…-DayBreak-s-is-Unrefined-and-Proud-of-it-pr-16676.html) at night on your face, neck and chest. (Emu oil doesn’t clog pores and won’t cause more acne. Promise!! I use it) Try taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 vitamin & Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!

If you are on a tight budget try this.

Cleanser: baking soda or sea salt.

Toner: Organic green tea or aloe vera gel.

Moisturizer: 1/2 cup water 3 tsp. Vegetable glycerin and 5 drops lemon essential oil or oil free moisturizer.

Mask: (use 2 or 3x a week unless you have dry skin.) French “green” clay removes impurities tightens and tones skin. (You can use overnight as a spot treatment also.) Leave on for 10-20 min or until dry then rinse and moisturize.

Exfoliant: (use 2 or 3x a week unless you have dry skin.) Warm oatmeal mixed with a little honey. And left on for 5 minutes then rinse and moisturize.

Blackheads: Baking soda mixed with water into a paste and then add tea tree essential oil if you’d like then scrub the affected are 2-3 min. Or apply elmers glue to affected are let dry and peel off like you would pore strips. Works really well!

Daily as a morning toner/moisturizer you can use 1/4 tsp. Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 or 3 drops of tea tree essential oil. Works really well.

Also take vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 vitamin & Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!
