Clear Acne In 4 Weeks

Betty asks…

How Can I Effectively Get Rid Of Acne In A Week?

I am starting school in a week. I want to get rid of my acne by then. Shorter than a week would work as well. I want a method that I can do without using acne cleansers and such. Thanks!

Hello! So I read a bunch of stuff in the early summer on how to get rid of my acne and I totally know what you’re going through. P.S. I am 16 female and have a combination skin: acne on my forehead, shiny, oily skin on my chin and nose, and dry cheeks with huge pores. :( well anyway these are the things that worked for me early in the summer that helped me get rid of my acne and helps me keep my skin clear and healthy now. (These cleared up July acne in about 5 days).
1. No products. I had been using bezonyl peroxide and Clearasil cleanser to help get my face clear, but let me just say: they are all full of it. Ots better to leave your skin alone than to use bogus products.
2. Ash your face whenever you can. I don’t know what your schedule is like, weather you will be busy or not, or out in the sun all day, but whenever you get the chance, wash your face. Use hot water and your hands, or a soft towel. You don’t want to scrub or scratch your acne, that will just make it worse and irritated. Then splash cold water on your face to close your pores, I use an ice cube and rub it all over my face, this also is a good skin toner ;) it will be cold, but it actually works dep to prevent, basically free our any new pimples forming under the skin deep in your pores.
3. Seriously, this works miracles. Every night before bed, place a clean, freshly washed towel over your pillow. Overnight the pillow case soaks up oils and dirt from your hair and face and eventually you are putting your face in that every night. Yuk! So if you replace the towel, it will basically clean your face every night while you sleep and won’t cake tour face in disgusting crap from previous nights.
4. I can’t guarantee that this will work for you, spending on how sensitive your skin is. Lemon juice. Before bed squeeze fresh lemon juice onto cotton balls and rub over your face. The acid in the lemon juice will kill the bacteria in your pimples and work to bring them to the surface, flushing them out of your pores. Your face wil feel sticky and tight, but that will prevent any new bacteria from sneaking I’m there overnight. It might sting. This means the acid is working. If it is too powerful and hurts sooo much.just wash it off, try it again, but dilute the lemon juice with some water. This will depend on how sensitive your skin is. Mine is pretty tough, so I don’t dilute it. But this helped clear up most of my acne over night. This also helps even skin tone, tighten pores, and clear up acne scars.
5. Aloe vera. Not everyone has fresh aloe vera plant growing in their house, but on the off chance that you do. This helps heal you skin. I tried this at a friends house who gave me a fee leafs. Slice them open and rub the gel directly onto your acne. Don’t wash off. This helps repair your skin cells for over all health. If you don’t, no biggie. I only tried it once, but It seemed to help. Don’t substitute the ones that you buy at drug stores for sunburns, those contain other chemicals that you do not want.
6. Eat healthy. I know this seems like an obvious one, but it is important. You won’t have clear skin if you are eating bread, fried chicken and bacon all the time. I’m not saying you can’t eat them, but make some changes in your diet so you are eating fresh fruits and veggies
realky hope this helps! Good luck!!!!

Products to remove acne in a short amount of time?

I have ongoing acne on my cheeks and chin mostly, sometimes around my nose. I also have oily skin too, if that makes a difference. I’m currently using a Vichy skin care set, and have been for over a year, but I see no improvements. I’m going back to school soon and I want to have clear skin. Does anyone know of any products, that aren’t too expensive, that could help me? Thanks!

These are all products that are made especially for oily and acne effected skin,
altough can be used by anybody.

So the first thing that I would recommend is a Clearsonic…okay so it can be a little pricy, but it really works wonders for oily skin and acne. I’d say that after using my Clearsonic my skin care and reduced brake outs increased by over 75%. If you feel like you would want to make the investment, you can buy them at places like Walmart, Saphora….MAYBE target etc. It can cost up to $151. I know it really is very expensive. But if you think you want to give it a try you might want to consider it :) . A Clearsonic is an electric brush tool that you use to wash your face with a face wash in circular movement to remove and grime, oil or pore clogging.

The second is a great acne face wash that really is fantastic and keeps your skin clear, glowing, acne free, baby skin soft and smells great…depending on the scent you choose (I know one doesn’t have a scent) but the product is an oil free ‘Acne Wash’ by Nutragena. I highly recommend this product, and you can buy it at almost any drugstore for only $5.49.

Another recommendation: Murad acne complex this set is 29.25$. Ok so it’s pretty expensive. You can also by smaller bottles: this is just the complete set. Anyway, I haven’t actually used this product for the amount of time that I was told. However, a friend of mine started using it for about two weeks and her acne disappeared completely. I did try it once..but meaning one time, one round of washing my face with it: one apply. It actually reduced the swelling and smoothed my irritated skin. I don’t know if it was Murad that made my acne leave so quickly after that (about a week) and if it did that was a miricle worker, but I couldn’t say, as I was actually in the process of using other skin products.

The last one that I recommend is Burt’s Bees natural acne purifying gel cleanser, and it’s great cause not only is it 99.4% natural, but it actually works, clears skin, and (just as all the other products I have listed) is clinically proven to do so. It’s average price is $10.00

I really hope that this helped you out; I know that feeling of being rushed before school or a big event, when you just really want to look your best. If you decided to invest in any of these products than I hope they are worth the buy! If one works for you than enjoy your fresh, clear, skin! ????????????????

____________
Best Practices
# Wear protective clothing and hats as an additional measure of protection.
# Avoid the sun during peak hours (10:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m.)
#Apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes BEFORE you go out into the sun
If you go into the sun immediately after applying sunscreen, stay in the shade for the first 30 minutes.
#Reapply your sunscreen about every 2 hours.
#Use an SPF-containing lip balm whenever you are out in the sun.

Tips for Preventing Breakouts
* Choose “noncomedogenic” hair, skin, & makeup products.
* Avoid touching your face with your hands. Hands can spread bacteria to facial pores.
* Rinse off soon after working out to help prevent sweat and skin oils from mixing and clogging pores.
* Avoid overwashing or using harsh scrubs. These can cause excess oil production.
* Keep stress under control. Stress doesn’t cause acne, but it may lead to overproduction of skin oils.
