How to keep skin very clear and healthy?

I’m almost 15, and a girl. I don’t have that bad of acne. But it’s noticeable, and it can get rather annoying. I’ve been using proactiv for about 4 months i think. it seems to work pretty well, but i still occassionally get bad stubborn zits on my forehead or chin. any ideas on keeping skin clear and smooth 100% of the time?

You might be getting more. You’re 15 and puberty might make you get more zits. If you want clear skin drink 8 cups of water or 3 bottles of water each day. Don’t put toothpaste on the zits. It does not work. If you work out, wash your face after working out so the pores don’t clog. Eat many fruits and vegetables and grains. Dairy is said to cause acne…but I drink milk occasionally and nothing happens. Don’t eat greasy food. Change your pillow case every couple days and put your hair back when sleeping. If you wear foundation, wear one that doesn’t cause acne or clog pores. Or you could wear tinted moisturizer. Keep your hands away from your face and do not pop the blemishes. Drinking tea is said to be very good for your skin. The teas that keep my skin clear are chamomile tea and green tea. You should drink about 2 or 3 cups a day. Also, when you wash your hair make sure you don’t get shampoo or conditioner on your face. If you use products in your hair make sure not to get them on your face. Giving yourself a facial once a week also helps. Sleeping at least 9 hours can help maintain a healthy glow too. I can’t really think of anymore ways that keep my skin clear. I hope this helps you!

Honey. I know just how you feel. Lol. Im 13 and im not very fond of the acne on my face.
I used these tips and i’ve been seeing improvments in my face =] ecspcecially with 1)

1)Be healthy! Exercising regularly gives you a beautiful healthy glow, and can actually improve the condition of your skin! Drink lots of water (8 cups a day) to help your skin to be healthy, and try to eat healthy, too. For example, don’t eat loads of fatty, greasy foods like fries and burgers.

2)Go to a chemist, supermarket, or beauty shop, and buy make-up removing wipes, cleansing lotion, toner, moisturizer, and facial scrub (or antibacterial soap). Make sure you get them for your skin type, eg. Sensitive skin, dry skin. As long as it is a reputable store, their own brand should be cheaper, but the same quality as expensive brands.

3)Wash your face with WARM water every morning. Then, clean your face with the cleanser. Rub it in circles all over your face for about 30 seconds and rinse off. Pat your face dry with a towel and apply toner with cotton wool. Apply moisturizer after the toner( while skin is still damp with toner). Next, apply your make up.

4)Take off your make up with the wipes every night before you go to sleep. Wash your face with cold water again, use toner, and moisturizer.

5)Make an emergency zit kit including a zit cream that has salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide, a cream that reduces redness, a concealer stick, and translucent powder (the powder should absorb excess oils on your face). Of course, this is completely optional, but very useful.

6)Wait a few weeks; you should notice that your skin becomes smoother and clearer!

7)Remember if all else fails, go see a dermatologist. Ask about Acutane as well (it works like a miracle! But there are side effects, though. They depend on the person and their body).

Anyone know how to get rid of acne without going broke?

If anyone can help me get rid of my acne without spending all my money that would be GREAT! :) thanks!

What I do is I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Pink Grapefruit Acne Scrub and Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash while in the shower. I switch off daily, so for example on Monday I would use the Pink Grapefruit Scrub, then on Tuesday I would use the Acne Stress Control, then on Wednesday it would be back to the Pink Grapefruit Scrub, and so on. I apply it right when I get into the shower, and just let it sit until right before I get out. I use warm-hot water, not too hot though.
After I get out of the shower I use Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil Eliminating Astringent on my whole face. It does burn the first couple times, but after 2-4 times it stops burning. Once that has dried on apply Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment only to the affected spots on my face. This helps to clear up your face, eliminate oil, and keep your skin hydrated and healthy looking :)
When i go the bed I pull my hair back, so that while I sleep the oil from my hair doesn’t just rub back onto my face.
As for the black heads on your nose use this a Biore Nose Strip. I’ve been doing all of this for about 2 months, and my acne definitely cleared up within the first week or two of doing it :D

Oh, and I’ve never tried this but I’ve heard awesome results from it. What you do is you pull all your hair back, and apply honey all over your face. You let it dry until it’s like a mask, and you can peel it off. This is usually around 15 minuets. It’s supposed to remove a ton of oil and leave your skin feeling soft and amazing! I’ve never tried it but hey! It won’t hurt to try!
