I got into a car accident three years ago and had huge gashes on my face. The doctor prescribed me Mupirocin. I later got a prescription of this from my family doctor to control acne scars. It worked really well. The car accident scar I was sure was for life as bad as it was, and went away in three days. Be careful with putting ointments like this for scaring, because the oil can create new acne, but just put on a layer or two where needed. Try to wipe off any access. Mupirocin is like Neosporoin X 100, of course, as it is prescription. This is just a good ointment to have, because it works superb for all cuts, and whenever neosporin is needed and works so much better and faster.

Now to get rid of the acne, I have a few suggestions that took twenty years to discover, so I want to share. I was just looking in the mirror before bed and said goodness, I want to look up current yahoo answers people who haven’t found a solution yet. SCREW proactive and all the other stuff. I found it made things worse. The best face wash I ever bought was Clean and Clear blackhead clearing scrub. This product is never off the shelves because of how well it works over the years. I’ve used it for the last three years. It exfoliates daily. I use it once in the morning and once at night and when I need a good face wash. It says blackhead wash, but it’s good for the whole face and really gives a good clean. It says see results in two days (and there are) and imagine years of using it with the results! Use it in a counterclockwise and then clockwise manner until you feel you have scrubbed good. Then wash it off! Next, wash with Clean and Clear continuous control. I have oily skin so this doesn’t dry me out, but if you dry easily I wouldn’t recommend this everyday. It’s a medicine wash that works all day and works well. I cannot put dermatologist creams on my face during the day because it leaves a sticky peel and not attractive for the public. This works well instead and I use it once-twice a day. Then I put on the witch hazel after my face is dry. I put on multiple coats of it. It’s just like water, but magic water…for your face! Next, I went to the dermatologist and found a good ointment for my skin. I use it before bed and spot treatments throughout the day when I am BY MYSELF because it is noticeable. Everything I mentioned works for everybody, but your ointment selection might be different based on your skin type. A good ointment for oily skin which I use is tretinoin. I love it. It can burn sometimes, but then wash off immediately. It’s good at drying out and bring acne to a head. Doing this I haven’t had acne in years (breakouts), and I my random pimples have gone from moderate frequency to light frequency. Don’t by any imitators. Equate likes to copy clean and clear, and I fell victim to save like $3 and the savings are NOT worth it.

Another thing, stay away from soda and fastfood. This might be hard, but your diet is a huge cause of acne/pimples. Drink a LOT of water to flush your system and take supplements. Make sure you are eating alfalfa sprouts or getting a good alfalfa supplement. It is an essential. Next, a daily astringent that is a MUST. It will help with acne scars, redness, irritation, shaving burns, and existing/preventing acne. It also tones the skin to give it a beautiful glow. It is WITCH HAZEL. Get the T.N. Dickenson brand and it works wonders. It doesn’t smell bad, doesn’t burn ever, and continues to cleanse the skin. This is also good for getting rid of access makeup that may still be on, or any dirt. The best part is, you can apply all throughout your day I apply like 20 times a day and go through the large bottle every other month. You cannot overuse this product, and it really works. I just learned about witch hazel from a beauty expert and it was the best thing for my face. It controls the pores and replaces all astringents and toners. Also get an immune system supplement. This will help fight acne. Don’t buy acne medications as supplements or from your dermatologist. Also eat lots of fruits and vegetables. You are what you eat and you need to eat right. Alfalfa is good for SO many other things, it balances your digestive system, cleans your blood, provides all the vitamins your body doesn’t naturally produce and it tastes GOOD! It’s like a salad, but it’s packed with so many essentials. I buy this in bulk. It will be worth more than just your face. Research the benefits of alfalfa! As for face cleansers, I know there are a lot of fun products like grapefruit blast etc, but don’t fall for it. It’s not worth it. You should get an exfoliating body wash. THIS you can funk up a bit and get some crazy exfoliant that you love. Don’t over stress about your acne, it WILL go away. Stressing about it will cause more, trust me. I wish you well and HAPPY to spread the clear face! God bless!

How to get rid of little red scars/marks from mole removal, at home?

How to get rid of little red scars/marks from mole removal, at home?
I’m 13, and a little while ago I tried to remove a few moles at home. I learned that it didn’t work for me very well so I’m going to a dermatologist this Friday to get some other moles removed, with a laser. The thing is, when I tried to remove moles on my own, they left a few odd marks behind. I am hoping to get rid of them by this Friday, and I NEED your help!

HOW and what did you used to remove your moles?

NO photos showing!
Adam Lambert has the worst acne scars. JLo, even Demi Moore have been seen with scars on their faces during interviews. Seal, the musician, Heidi Klum’s ex have you seen the scar on his face? Demi in October 2012 issue of ‘People magazine, showed her freckles (acne?) on the cover and inside article photo showed she had them removed but there was a ‘hole’ and no makeup could fill that in. LOL Anyway . . . With all their money they’re making now, even beauty products can’t do anything about their faces or should I say scars.
Avoid too much sun exposure, so it won’t make your scars even DARKER permanently. Skin heals. So let your skin heals.

Sunscreens or lotions does not protect you from nasty, painful burns. Lotions does not protect you from skin cancer. Lotions does not protect you from skin diseases. Lotions does not protect you from discolorations – permanently. And lotions does not protect you from skin tags, freckles, moles, they will only get larger, darker, and bumpier as they are exposed from UV.

I had a pimple that never went away, it was in the same area where Liz’ mole was, I felt blessed! But, it got infected because I picked on it & picked on it when it got bumpy, it had been on my face for 4 years. One year it didn’t get bumpy, so it was flat for one year after that. I picked on it again, and now it’s flat and it’s almost faded – like any acne on our faces!!!! But usually, I even try to darken it with eyebrow pencil. I’ve always have clear complexion, but I noticed when it gets cloudy (summer) I couldn’t protect myself from the heat, so that’s why it got bumpy again. It’s been a year, and they’re now flat and lighter.

I had a mole on my thigh that was throbbing. It was the size of a pencil eraser. Dermatologist told me it wasn’t cancer, but I had it removed (3 stitches) but it got infected. I couldn’t keep water from it when I take a shower and it left me a 1 1/2″ scar, but it was still throbbing. My other dermatologist injected something around it, and it got flatter, but the throbbing stopped. That was 6 years ago, but the throbbing starts again, but the scar is almost gone. I should have left it alone, but the throbbing was annoying me!

Moles that are the same color as your skin, will become bumpier, not darker, & larger, but they will become as skin tags. Again, don’t try to cut them yourself without having seen by a doctor. I’ve cut mom’s skin tags, all 37 of them, and only 2 of them bled. But, I put a Band-aid, and it was fine several hours later. You can prevent getting skin tags, moles, freckles by avoiding the sun @ least 95% of the day.

Applying lemon juice to the scars helps to lighten them, as the citric acid in the fruit has bleaching properties. Slices of raw potato are said to help as well.

Vitamin E would also work, but if you have sensitive skin you’re more prone to developing blackheads.

You can make a mash created with fresh, plain yogurt and about half of a teaspoon of lemon juice. Leave on for 15 minutes then rinse with warm water.

Drinks and foods that have high amounts of antioxidants and vitamin E will also helps.

Drinks: Acai tea, juice, green tea. Adding lemon to the drinks helps your body to absorb them better. The digestive system burns off about 80% of the antioxidants that you intake, but the lemon juice helps combat that.

Foods: Leafy green vegetables, almonds, pecans, fresh berries, apples, cooked artichokes, pinto and kidney beans help to protect your skin and promote a more even skin tone.
***Tip: Try to avoid foods with refined sugar that can increase skin inflammation.

Baking soda helps reduce old acne scars as well. You can use it as a scrub or a toner.
Toner: 1 cup of water to 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Apply the mixture to face after it has been freshly washed.

Scrub: 1 tablespoon of water to 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix together then rub onto face with gentle, circular motions for 30 seconds then rinse well with warm water.

Tea tree oil works well, too, as it is both antimicrobial and anti fungal. You can purchase little vials of the oil at health food stores that are most likely undiluted. Before applying to your skin, dilute it. 1 teaspoon of of water to 2 drops of undiluted tea tree oil. Apply to affected areas up to three times a day.

Calamine lotion reduces inflammation and reduces the redness and appearance of the scars.

Other oils: Lavender, olive, camellia, coconut.

Honey helps to lighten scars as well as prevent and reduce any existing and forming acne.

A mixture of sandalwood powder with lemon juice works. Blend together until they make a paste.

Aloe vera gel helps, too, as it helps the scar to heal faster.

Keeping your skin clean and hydrated will help.

Staying out of the sun will also help the marks to fade.

Rose water helps to soothe inflammation of the skin and reduce the appearance of the marks. Witch hazel also soothes the skin.

I hope that this helped and good luck. :) Feel free to e-mail me with any other questions that you might have. I’d be more than happy to answer them for you. ItsMeJaylah@yahoo.com Cheers!
