How to get rid of acne in 24 hours?

I have a party and I don’t want to go to it with big red pimples

admin answers:

There are many ways to cure acne. You have to experiment to find what is best for you. Everyone is different, so don’t give up!

You can’t go wrong with washing your face… Of course, this doesn’t always help those severe cases.

The BEST treatment is prevention! My answer is already pretty long, so here is a good link(:

I always wash my pillow cases every week or so. It really helps!

I recommend a good, non-comedogenic facewash, so it won’t cause any other breakouts.

Avoid putting things on your face with a scent, such as hand lotion. It wil most likely cause more breakouts. Again, use non-comedogenic products.

Wash your face twice a day, with the hottest water you can stand. Hot water will open those pores for a much more thorough clean. Rinse with cold water to close those pores back aswell!

Now when you are buying face wash.. You will notice there are two main active ingredients to treat acne.
- Salicylic Acid
- Benzoyl Peroxide

Both are very effective treatments. When used together they can be even better. Just make sure to keep your skin moisturized, they will dry your face quickly.

Salicylic Acid – Works by causing the cells of the epidermis to shed properly. This prevents pores from being clogged. The acid is also known to break down black heads as well as whiteheads. It also allows your skin to absorb more benzoyl peroxide.

Benzoyl Peroxide – Removes dead skins cells and fights bacteria. When used correctly, it can also reduce redness. Probably the most effective by far.

Here are some other options if you want to experiment with at-home methods…

I prefer to use natural products myself. Tea Tree oil has been proven to work as well as Benzoyl Peroxide with less side effects. Although it takes longer to show results. It isn’t for everyone!

Some research suggests vitamins such as A and all of the B Vitamins help with acne. Here’s the link for that.. Http://

Like I said before, everyone is different, so give everything a try! Here is a wiki article, for extra info!

Rubbing Alcohol… Will fight bacteria that cause acne. But alcohol will deffinatly dry that face fast, and potentially cause redness.
* This can actually make acne worse if you dry out your skin… Use in moderation and moisturize often.

To even skin tone and also fight acne I use an Alpha Hydroxy Acid lotion at 10% strength, 3 times a week. It also helps with wrinkles and scars(:

A healthy diet is also very helpful.. But come on, we all know that isn’t easy. Especially when you’re a kid and your parents call the shots on the food! Here’s a link for tips on dieting to improve skin. Http://

Moisturizing is VERY important for a healthy face. It will prevent a lot of dryness. When you get dryness and cracks in the skin, you are just asking for more acne.
Always remember to use non-comedogenic products.

* If you don’t moisturize, your face will become oily, making you want to touch and wipe your face, spreading bacteria and other crap into those pore! Plus oil is more likely to attract dirt and dust.

Finally, NEVER touch your face. It’s probably the worse thing you can do. Besides popping your pimples… If you pop them, it will make them spread, or even get infected. I don’t advise popping them… But if you really must… Do it the right way! Here is a wiki article.. Http://

Remember not to be discouraged. Everyone gets acne. It’s normal. You just have to experiment to find out how YOU can control yours. Good luck :)

How can I get rid of acne?

I have a lot of acne on my face and some pretty big acne scars too. I wash my face regularly but it only gets worse every time I wash it. I have black heads/scars/pimples all over my cheeks. I also have a bunch of holes about 1.5 inches under my eye (looks like someone stabbed be multiple times with toothpick LOL). Worse part is its getting even worse everyday. How can I get rid of acne? Can you get rid of scars and if so how?

I got into a car accident three years ago and had huge gashes on my face. The doctor prescribed me Mupirocin. I later got a prescription of this from my family doctor to control acne scars. It worked really well. The car accident scar I was sure was for life as bad as it was, and went away in three days. Be careful with putting ointments like this for scaring, because the oil can create new acne, but just put on a layer or two where needed. Try to wipe off any access. Mupirocin is like Neosporoin X 100, of course, as it is prescription. This is just a good ointment to have, because it works superb for all cuts, and whenever neosporin is needed and works so much better and faster.

Now to get rid of the acne, I have a few suggestions that took twenty years to discover, so I want to share. I was just looking in the mirror before bed and said goodness, I want to look up current yahoo answers people who haven’t found a solution yet. SCREW proactive and all the other stuff. I found it made things worse. The best face wash I ever bought was Clean and Clear blackhead clearing scrub. This product is never off the shelves because of how well it works over the years. I’ve used it for the last three years. It exfoliates daily. I use it once in the morning and once at night and when I need a good face wash. It says blackhead wash, but it’s good for the whole face and really gives a good clean. It says see results in two days (and there are) and imagine years of using it with the results! Use it in a counterclockwise and then clockwise manner until you feel you have scrubbed good. Then wash it off! Next, wash with Clean and Clear continuous control. I have oily skin so this doesn’t dry me out, but if you dry easily I wouldn’t recommend this everyday. It’s a medicine wash that works all day and works well. I cannot put dermatologist creams on my face during the day because it leaves a sticky peel and not attractive for the public. This works well instead and I use it once-twice a day. Then I put on the witch hazel after my face is dry. I put on multiple coats of it. It’s just like water, but magic water…for your face! Next, I went to the dermatologist and found a good ointment for my skin. I use it before bed and spot treatments throughout the day when I am BY MYSELF because it is noticeable. Everything I mentioned works for everybody, but your ointment selection might be different based on your skin type. A good ointment for oily skin which I use is tretinoin. I love it. It can burn sometimes, but then wash off immediately. It’s good at drying out and bring acne to a head. Doing this I haven’t had acne in years (breakouts), and I my random pimples have gone from moderate frequency to light frequency. Don’t by any imitators. Equate likes to copy clean and clear, and I fell victim to save like $3 and the savings are NOT worth it.

Another thing, stay away from soda and fastfood. This might be hard, but your diet is a huge cause of acne/pimples. Drink a LOT of water to flush your system and take supplements. Make sure you are eating alfalfa sprouts or getting a good alfalfa supplement. It is an essential. Next, a daily astringent that is a MUST. It will help with acne scars, redness, irritation, shaving burns, and existing/preventing acne. It also tones the skin to give it a beautiful glow. It is WITCH HAZEL. Get the T.N. Dickenson brand and it works wonders. It doesn’t smell bad, doesn’t burn ever, and continues to cleanse the skin. This is also good for getting rid of access makeup that may still be on, or any dirt. The best part is, you can apply all throughout your day I apply like 20 times a day and go through the large bottle every other month. You cannot overuse this product, and it really works. I just learned about witch hazel from a beauty expert and it was the best thing for my face. It controls the pores and replaces all astringents and toners. Also get an immune system supplement. This will help fight acne. Don’t buy acne medications as supplements or from your dermatologist. Also eat lots of fruits and vegetables. You are what you eat and you need to eat right. Alfalfa is good for SO many other things, it balances your digestive system, cleans your blood, provides all the vitamins your body doesn’t naturally produce and it tastes GOOD! It’s like a salad, but it’s packed with so many essentials. I buy this in bulk. It will be worth more than just your face. Research the benefits of alfalfa! As for face cleansers, I know there are a lot of fun products like grapefruit blast etc, but don’t fall for it. It’s not worth it. You should get an exfoliating body wash. THIS you can funk up a bit and get some crazy exfoliant that you love. Don’t over stress about your acne, it WILL go away. Stressing about it will cause more, trust me. I wish you well and HAPPY to spread the clear face! God bless!

Lizzie asks…

If I put on proactiv 3 times a day will my acne go away faster?

the question explains itself.

admin answers:

Maybe.. The big thing to think about though is that it will dry your face out like crazy. Any acne medications are ultimately bad for your skin, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? Lol (i use them too)

Personally, i used proactiv for 2 years and originally thought it was the best thing ever.. I was WRONG. I ended up not being able to order it one time because of credit card issues, so for a temporary fix i bought clean and clear. SO much better.

Heres my skin care routine.. If it helps?:

1. Wet a wash cloth with HOT water. (not hot enough to burn you.. Just as hot as you can stand. This will open up your pores)
2. Press it on your face paying special attention to problem areas.
3. I use neutrogena wave.. Nuetrogena is great also. I use the exfoliating pads.. They are very gentle yet get rid of any small patches of dry skin effectively. It makes your skin really smooth! Wet it with hot water also, etc.
4. Buy a deep cleansing acne cream wash. The deep cleansing part will do the job for the acne, and the fact that it’s a cream cleanser means it is alot more moisturizing than other washes.. Which is good because of all the skin drying chemicals you are using.
5. Wash with the cream wash, dry.
6. Apply a spot treatment on any problem areas.. And when it dries, apply a acne moisturizer. Clean and clear makes one that is very good.. It’s in a white pump bottle with a purple lid.

And in the morning, i just wash my face in the shower with neutrogena acne cream wash with aloe vera. The aloe calms redness and makes it acne alot easier to hide for the day. Hope i helped and good luck!
