This is long but super simple.

If it’s cystic acne then mix warm water with epsom salt and let soak into your face using a wash cloth. It will bring the cyst to a head faster and further the healing process along.

Recently I’ve made a lot of changes I wasn’t born with beautiful skin by any means.

Start drinking green tea with a lemon in it. Full of antioxidants and just drinking water with a lemon in it is beneficial.

Activia yogurt to keep you regular helps some people so there is no build up of toxins in your body that needs to escape somewhere, usually resulting in acne.

Write down what you eat and how your skin looks. Skin journal if you will. I found that I always broke out after drinking milk, and dairy in general isn’t good for my skin so I switched to almond milk.

Steam your face twice a week and put a mask on right after then close pores with an ice cube when done. I use Greek yogurt plain with oatmeal as a mask.

Change pillow cases once a week. Towels, sheets ect get dirty too quickly which affects your skin so change everything often.

Drink tons of water.

Always moisturize your face day and night. I thought cause I had oily skin I didn’t need to which bare my skin worse.

All if this stuff has greatly helped out.

Good luck!

Okay. Now I know how this is going to sound but just keep reading.
I have really tempermental skin, acne one day and dry spots the next, so in my exhausted attempt to find the right skin treatment I turned to an organic approach.
1. Because I have no money and it seemed cheaper than all the dermatologist recommended products.
2. Because everyone said that it was working for them.

So. I started. And yes I use food on my face every day now. Haha

My first attempt was a facial cleansing routine.
($10 if you don’t have any of the household items before hand but lasts practically forever once you make the trip to Walmart.)

In the morning I’d wash my face with water, to get all the dry skin and excess oil off, then I’d apply straight up honey onto my face. (I’ll give you some reassuring links at the bottom, I promise)
Honey makes a great exfoliant, cause it has lots of helpful acids that are very safe to use on skin and can loosen bonds between the dead skin cells, making it easier to shed the dead layer. The acids also increase elasticity, balance out oily skin, stimulate collagen production, and minimize lines and wrinkles, making you look younger. So its well worth the stickiness!
So then I’d go eat breakfast and let it sit, do some laundry, and watch my recorded tv shows.
By then I’d completely licked the mask off as far as my tongue could reach. {Warning, you’ll look retarded, but its just too yummy!}
Next step, you rinse off the honey, you’ll be surprised by how easily it washes off! Then, and this is when it gets weirder, I would apply a mix of 1/2 water and 1/2 apple cider vinegar to my face. Malic and lactic acids found in the vinegar help to soften and exfoliate your skin, reduce red marks, and treat acne on both your face and body. Apple cider vinegar also tones your skin to the proper pH. So basically, it’s an awesome beauty secret hiding in your kitchen cupboard!
The smell can kinda get you at first, but it fades away I promise. Now don’t pat your face dry, or do anything, just let it air dry. Or if you’re impatient like me, open and close your bathroom door and fan yourself with it, until it dries.
By now you’re almost done, the only thing left to do now is rehydrate your skin.
You can head back to normalville now and use your favorite lotion, ORRR, you can put one more food item on your face haha
Coconut oil makes for a great finishing re-hydrant and especially for people with acne because it provides moisture to the skin without blocking the pores., Coconut oil is a rich source of Vitamin-E. This keeps your skin healthy and ensures proper functioning of sebum glands and clears blockage, thereby treating the very root cause of Acne!

So that’s where I started, and I’d say its a pretty safe place to begin.
Later it’ll win you over and you’ll have cupboards full of body scrubs, exfoliants, and all different kinds of food articles that you’d never expect to see in the bathroom. Haha

I hope it works for you! It’ll take around a week to two weeks for you to see a major change but trust me your skin will feel amazing after just the first wash!

Anybody have tips for how to get rid of acne?

OK, so I have really bad acne, and this lowers my self-esteem levels. I am bipolar ( don’t make fun!) so this is very bad. Do any of you have a remedy for treating acne?

admin answers:

For acne, there are a number of remedies that might help your skin moderately.

But for really bad acne (assuming that your acne is indeed really bad) I highly highly recommend Accutane. It always works and it works completely for everyone. I used it. With Accutane you’ll have clear skin forever after a couple of months!

You can easily waste years of your life with bad acne trying a million and one prescription or over the counter drugs that don’t work or only work partially.

Go see a dermatologist. He’ll initially try to give you other medications, but he’ll let you get Accutane once the other drugs don’t work or have limited effectiveness.

If you’ve already tried other remedies, you should be able to convince him to go right to Accutane.

Be careful of antibiotics–if you’re on them a long time, you increase your resistance to antibiotics when you’re really sick and they permanently stain your teeth yellow.

Also, don’t really trust your dermatologist. He’s just happy to write you a couple prescriptions, won’t remember if your skin is better or worse than before, and doesn’t really care if you have clear skin. At least that is my experience with about 10 different dermatologists.

The downside to Accutane is that is can cause birth defects if you get pregnant while taking it. There are also a couple other side effects, like depression, but in my opinion these side effects are overrated.

If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to help.
