Get Rid Of Acne On Back

Mary asks…

What are some natural ways to get rid of acne and possible acne scarrings?

Hello. I am a 14 year old teenager suffering from moderate acne problems. I’ve had it for now 4 years and I have to say it did get better with time. However, acne really is a huge blow to my self-esteem and more. Because of acne, I hate looking at myself in the mirror and tend to get nervous when I meet new people even when it is just to order food. I’m in my puberty years so of course I do feel jealous of my friend’s perfect skin. I’ve used multiple acne treatments and applied Benozoyl Peroxide that I got from over the counter but apparently I’m allergic to them since the next morning my face would have red, blotches and would itch.
My parents didn’t have any acne except for my mom who would have it occasionally. I also have blackheads on my nose which upsets me very much since its visible. I stay away from those pore strips because they can damage the skin. Also, I used to pick at my acne on the sides of my face (around the hairline) because I hated having those hard, pits. They’ve left a bit of a scarring- I’m not really sure because they are just brownish in color and a few actual scars. I’ve stopped picking at them now but they are what actually makes me look like I have tons and tons of acne when I really don’t.
School is starting soon and I want to start my freshmen year acne-free. Some people tell me that the scars will fade away since I’m only a teenager. My mom does steam towels on my face about once a week and the next day it clears up. I’m not sure why but it tends to get a bit worse when I’m near my period. I’ve tried to tell myself that it’ll pass but somedays I sit in front of the mirror and cry. Can someone tell me some good natural remedies or not too expensive medication to get rid of acne, acne scarrings(?), and blackheads? Thank you.

I would suggest you try using Jojoba Oil as it is almost identical organically-speaking to sebum, which is the natural oil produced by your skin. As well as being a great natural moisturizer it can also help with acne, Jojoba Oil penetrates into the skin without clogging pores and is suitable for all skin types it contains vitamin E and antioxidants which are great for fighting aging signs and moisturizing the skin.

Jojoba oil works in two ways. First its moisturizes your skin first and then diffuses into the skin to soften and smooth. So with regular application acne scars and other skin conditions can be lessened and in many cases healed completely

Plus studies on jojoba oil show that it has the ability to prevent skin from becoming too oily. This is due to the fact that putting jojoba oil on our skin can trick our cells into thinking they have produced enough oil.

Remove any surface dirt from your skin, then put just a few drops of jojoba oil into your hand and rub it into your skin when you start to work jojoba oil into the skin, the oil penetrates into the pores. As jojoba closely resembles your skin’s own oil, moisturizing with jojoba oil sends the message to your pores to stop overproducing the sebum that causing the oily skin.

For the acne spotspimples:-

Tea Tree Essential oil it has great on acne as it has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. Simply put a couple of drops on a cotton bud and dot onto each spot. Don’t use it over your entire face as it can irritate the skin for some people.

Lavender Essential oil has well known antifungal and antiseptic properties and is widely used in treating acne. For that stubborn pimples lavender can be applied neat using a cotton bud or pad. Redness, swelling and irritation will be dramatically reduced.

The Lavender and tea tree if applying to larger areas, should be used in dilution for larger areas, I would recommend between 10-20 drops of essential oil to 50ml of jojoba oil.

Hope this helps!

It depends on the severity of your acne and your current regimen (if you have one) whether your skin can become significantly clearer after 1 to 2 weeks. If you have red, inflamed pimples, I suggest using benzoyl peroxide to dry them up. When I was about 15-16, I cleared my acne with AcneFree. It contained benzoyl peroxide and completely cleared me up within a couple of months of consistent use. It worked tons better than ProActiv.
