Treatments For Acne Marks

Mark asks…

Does tanning help fade acne marks if you have a olive skin tone?

Okay, I already know the cons of tanning and I am aware of its risk of producing skin cancer. But I want to know if it will help fade acne marks if you already have a brown complexion. Have any of you tanners experienced this?

The current focus on tanning beds has prompted me to write and share my personal experience related to indoor tanning.

My daughter Katy spent some time in tanning beds during high school and college. I thought it was safe in spite of warnings about skin cancer and sun exposure because she did not overdo it. She was careful not to burn and used the beds primarily to get a gradual tan to prevent burning as her skin is fair.

Until Aug. 31, 2009, I believed skin cancer was primarily a disease of older people and resulted from years of overexposure to the sun. That was the date my 27-year-old daughter was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. At that time she had been married for a year, had a good job as an occupational therapist and was looking forward to a great future with her husband and possibly children.

Since then she has had five surgeries, participated in one clinical trial and one standard treatment with significant side effects. The cancer is now in some organs as well as tissue and lymph nodes, and she is anticipating another difficult round of experimental treatments.

I know everyone does not get cancer from tanning, but I do know that UV exposure increases the risk. It certainly was not worth it for my daughter or her family. Please consider this risk before stepping into a tanning bed.

How to get rid of post acne marks/ dark spots with red dots?

I have alot of acne marks left behind from acne, there kind of like dark brown spots (short of) and red dots. How do i get rid of them?

Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you’ve gotten your acne cleared up, it’s important to continue with the treatment that’s working so it does not return.

If all else fails, contact a doctor. Mild antibiotics that are available only by prescription can help reduce acne. Keep in mind though, that the widespread overuse (taking antibiotics when you really don’t need them or for something they don’t treat) and misuse (not taking medication for the specified amount of time) of antibiotics has led to the development of multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria. That means that the antibiotics won’t work for the things they used to (including your acne).

Keep hair off of your face if at all possible. If you want to keep your bangs, then consider taking showers regularly or keeping your forehead clean with oil-dabbing cloths / clean tissues / etc.

What’s the best cream to get rid of Acne marks on my face?

I have a lot of brown acne marks on my chin area, thanks to make-up i cover them But i want to go natural with out any make up so i want my scars to go away .what’s best cream?

No cream will get rid of them. This is a cure that has given fast remarkable results and it’s using natural oils. Use grape seed oil, a natural oil that has a been successfully used in treating acne and oily skins. Does not make skin oilier. For best and quickest results you have to massage quite vigorously (If hesitant about doing vigorously, then massage one part of face like the forehead and see the results.) Do it over and over with a forward and back motion using finger tips and front and sides of fingers depending where on face you massage (a circular one will not be effective). Less vigorously will take longer. Depending on how vigorous you do it, scars will start to fade in a few days. In two weeks you will have significant results. Keep up treatment and overtime they will be completely gone. You will be amazed at it´s effectiveness. If you massage entire face, it will rid it of all blemishes and even the most problemmatical skin conditions and give you a healthy flawless glowing skin and you will look younger.
