Treatments For Acne Marks

Susan asks…

Something similar to laser treatment for home use on acne scars?

Is there anything I can use at home to zap away the red scars, pigmentation left by old acne? I’ve tried creams such as mederma, retin-a, mama lotion, acne mark fading peels and home microdermabrasion kits but nothing’s really helped.
I know there are devices such as the zeno for acne. Are there any similar light-therapy device for scars that are a milder form of laser treatment, that I can use at home?
Thank you!

I have never heard of a home laser system for acne scaring.

But perhaps you could give some home remedies a try?

I used Zenmed and it seemed to work for me, their scar kit especially the skin eraser did wonders for me.

I want to spread the message about acne and how the usage of drugs, creams or typical acne treatments affects your skin. I know they sometimes work for acne treatment in a partial way and temporarily but the side effects are nasty. I know it all so well because I have tried it first-hand myself.

However, the moment you stop using these treatments, acne will come back and will come back even strongly. Many have already experienced this vengeance from the acne monster. Would you perfer a temp or a perm solution for acne?

Sensitive oil gland receptors, hormone irregularities and toxic buildup. Only the combination of the three above factors can lead to the formation of acne. If you have acne, then most certainly you have sensitive oil gland receptors, and unfortunately you cannot change that.

However, there are two other main factors involved in the formation of acne – hormone irregularities and toxic buildup. So logically, “deactivating” these two factors by taking the necessary means, you practically ensure the elimination of acne symptoms.

I want to introduce this new and exciting new solution for people searching for a solution to acne. This system cures acne permanently and holistically without the use of drugs, creams or typical acne treatments. It has to do with how you take care of your body and organs, and I must admit some of the steps are tedious to follow on a daily basis. However, it guarantees complete cure of the problem from within.

Are there any homemade things I can do to get rid of acne marks?

These treatments all have proven success rates with varying degrees of down time.
Microdermabrasion. This is a method that literally peels the top layer of skin off by using a number of different kinds of mechanical instruments. These tools are comparative to mini grinding machines, much like those found in a wood working shop.
Laser Treatment. Laser treatment is now the treatment of choice for getting rid of acne scars. Laser therapy removes the skin layer by layer, and treatment can be completed in as little as one session. There are a number of laser therapies available for different types of scarring.
Chemical peels. Think of a very strong exfoliation solution and you have chemical peels. They work in the same fashion as dermabrasion. Chemical solutions are applied to the skin and the peel (the chemicals) dissolve skin cells on the top layer and by doing so promote growth of new tissue.
Dermal Fillers. This is a popular treatment commonly for wrinkle reduction and lip fullness. However it works well with minimizing scar tissue by injecting collagen underneath depressed scar tissue to raise the area up to the level of healthy skin. This is effective temporary remedy, but unfortunately have to be repeated frequently as the collagen tends to dissipate in the body over time.
Punch excision. Surgery is used for scars that are very deep and don’t respond to conventional methods. Punch excision is a method of surgery that utilizes a punch biopsy tool to “punch out” the scar tissue and the skin is sutured back together. In time healthy skin will replace the area of the old scar tissue. :) :)
