Treatments For Acne On Face

Robert asks…

What are good acne treatments for mild acne?

I have combination skin (oily nose, dry cheeks in the winter) and I have mild acne on my face, chest, upper back, and on my butt cheeks. Gross, I know! :(

I have been using Phisoderm face/body washes and they work okay, but my acne is still there. What are some good products to clear up mild acne? Thanks!

I use baking soad and a little bit of water mixed in. It will turn into a past and you just run it on and when it starts to flack off, go wash your face. That works for black heads as well.

Toothpaste also works. Out it on the places you have acne at night when you go to bed and wash your face in the morning.

People with really oily skin often get blackheads. Oatmeal is one way to treat oily skin. It is very dry, so it absorbs oil from the skin. Plus, it’s inexpensive and natural.

1.)To use oatmeal to help clear your skin, make a thick paste of oatmeal and water. Apply this mix to your face in the morning and evening. Allow the paste to stay on your face for ten to twenty minutes before rinsing with cool water.

2.)Honey and Apple: Another effective all-natural facial mask for those with oily skin is made from honey and apples. After grating the apple into a fine pulp, mix in four tablespoons of honey and apply to your face for ten minutes. Rinse off the mask after ten minutes is up.

3.)Egg Whites, Witch Hazel and Lemon Juice: Another acne home remedy is a mask made of egg whites, witch hazel and lemon juice. To make this mask, beat an egg white until stiff and add a few drops of witch hazel and a few drops of lemon juice. Spread the mixture over the face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse well with lukewarm water.

4.)Tomatoes: Tomatoes work wonders for oily skin. After mashing a ripe tomato, drain the juice on paper towels for a few minutes. Next, take the tomato pieces and pat them onto your face as you are lying back. Leave the pieces on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Do this treatment once daily, preferably in the morning.

Good Luck

Melody posted this recently about Coconut Oil.

I recommend You moisturize your skin with organic unrefined extra virgin coconut oil. I know you might be like, is she crazy telling me to put OIL on my face? NO i am not crazy:) All of my Friends use coconut oil for their body, hair, health and skin. And their skin and mine is very healthy. Coconut oil even helped one of my Friend who suffered acne for about 1 year. She started using coconut oil everyday as a moisturizer, and now she has clear skin! She still had to use a cleanser, and eat healthy and stuff. But COCONUT oil helps the body, skin and hair in SO many ways!

I found out coconut oil is a very effective way to treat acne. I use the organic USDA, unrefined, and extra virgin coconut oil. And it smells sooo good!!! It does not clog pores, well it does not to me. It give you a natural glow, cure redness, acne, acne scar, dryness, wrinkle, fine lines, oiliness, and any skin condition like rash! It 10 times as better than other acne treatments! Coconut oil is a very great natural way to cure acne. Use it as your facial moisturizer.

Oh and I TAKE TURMERIC PILLS EVERYDAY. ONCE A DAY AND IT HELPS TO FIGHT FREE RADICIALs THAT AGE OUR SKIN AND BODY. It HELPS TO MAKE MY SKIN GLOW, AND HELPS TO KEEP MY IMMUNE SYSTEM good and ACNE at bay. You will see result in about 1 month or 2. It is a VERY natural way to get rid of acne. GOOD LUCK!

What can I do for the acne on my face?

I have acne on my face, and my dermatologist prescribed Epiduo gel that I use often. The gel has really cleared my face up. However, I’m on a 2 week trip and I don’t have the medicine with me; and my acne is really coming back. What can I do without it?

I know this sounds crazy, but use rubbing alcohol all over your face. Especially on areas where acne takes root. The rubbing alcohol will dry out your pores. You can buy a huge bottle of rubbing alcohol for a dollar at the Dollar Store. I reccomend rubbing alcohol that has at least 70% of alcohol in it. Anything less is worthless for treating acne.

Then, once you have the rubbing alcohol, every morning and every night take a cotton ball or a washrag and apply all over your face.

Treatment should show results in a little less than two weeks.

My grandmother treated her acne this way. She’s passed it on down as a family tradition, ensuring that every grandchild had rubbing alcohol to dry out their pores. My grandmother is 78 years old, but she looks 20 years younger. She gets compliments on her beauty all the time. If that ain’t one hell of a testimonial, then I don’t know what is.
