Treatments For Acne Scars

Mandy asks…

Guaranteed way to get rid of acne scars?

I know nothing is guaranteed but does anyone know of a really good acne scar treatment? Something that you used your self that worked? It could be something I could by in the store or something I can make at home it doesn’t matter I just need something! Also how long does it usually take to start working?

Thanks!

My acne type is teen. I am a 17 yr old girl.

Also Ambi fade cream, Porcelana fade cream and dermisa removes acne scars.

Donald asks…

What acne scar treatments are there available?

I got some acne scars, pits in my face. Which make me ashamed of myself everytime I look in the mirror. Anyways, what kind of treatments are available? Can i get collagen or silicon injections to make the skin smooth again?

And if you have never had acne before, be REALLY happy, it is AWFUL. Sucks big time :(

Microdermabration its a laser treatment which peels off your skin and you regrow new skin. Very popular expensive but easily located at spas and medical facilities!

How to get rid of icepick acne scars?

Any inexpensive products or homemade treatments that reduce appearance of deep/icepick acne scars? They are pretty visible, around my nose and eye area along with some other dark spots around my face.

Go to a Derm. They can help you but since your still a teenager they will probably not do a peel….. I did not get those till I was older but one of my teens has them.

The Dermatologist will have you moisturize your skin etc…

Good luck, they call them pock mark or as you describe ice pick

Punch Excision

Ice pick acne scars have hard, irregular jagged borders and often the depth is irregular as well. Simple excision of these scars with a sutured closure allows the dermatologist to bring the dermis back together, get rid of the ragged margins and close the area with a fine, uniform line.

The tiny linear scar may be allowed to fade on its own or the procedure may be performed before a more generalized resurfacing is performed such as dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, chemical peel or laser resurfacing.
