Treatments For Acne Vulgaris

Richard asks…

What are eight (8) types of physiological diseases? What causes them and how can their symptoms be treated?

I already have hypertention and diabetes. So could you please send others?

admin answers:

Here’s some pretty easy ones. I’m too lazy to list the causes and symptoms, but they’re incredibly easy to look up:

Acne Vulgaris.
Cancer.
Influenza.
Fibromyalgia. (no known cure, though. You said treated, so there are treatments for everything)
Gastritis.
Gout.
Mitral Valve Prolapse.
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

Joseph asks…

What is 220 mg zinc sulfate used for?

I’m a pharmacy student, and I have a patient who is on zinc sulfate 220 mg daily. There is no history of a deficiency, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any other indications for this.
Patient has PMH significant for DM, stroke, hyperlipidemia, CAD, Obestiy, sleep apnea, NASH.
Thanks!

Based on available scientific evidence, zinc may be effective in the treatment of (childhood) malnutrition, acne vulgaris, peptic ulcers, leg ulcers, infertility, Wilson’s disease, herpes, acrodermatitis enteropathica and delayed wound healing associated with zinc deficiency, rheumatoid arthritis, and taste or smell disorders.
